More About Our Veterinary Neurologists & Facility in Miami

Founded in 2010 by Dr. Michael Wong, Southeast Veterinary Neurology of Miami is the first and only hospital in Miami that exclusively treats neurological disorders in dogs and cats. We opened in a small strip mall in 2010, sharing space with Miami Pet Emergency. In the beginning, Dr. Wong was on call 24/7. After-hours calls rang to his cell phone at all times, day and night. He operated on pets in need on all his children’s birthdays.

In 2015, we moved to 9300 SW 40th Street and Dr. De Pompa and Dr. Fitz joined the team. At that time, we were the only hospital in Miami, Broward, and Monroe counties with in-house high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). And now with three neurologists, we were able to be neurologist-staffed 365 days a year.

Since our inception, we have lived with one mission: to be there when families needed us; to treat each pet as if he or she were our own; and to offer the latest technology, expertise, and techniques.
