Brooke Foster, DVM, is a veterinary neurology intern at Southeast Veterinary Neurology
in Jupiter, Florida.

Dr. Foster earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts after completing her clinical training in 2025. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, where she developed a strong interest in both scientific research and animal health.

Dr. Foster's advanced clinical training includes a rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ, a high-volume specialty and emergency referral hospital. Prior to beginning her internship, she worked as an emergency veterinarian at the same hospital, managing emergency cases and collaborating closely with specialists to develop diagnostic and treatment plans for critically ill patients. These experiences provided extensive exposure to complex medical and neurological cases and strengthened her passion for specialty veterinary medicine.

Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Foster gained valuable hands-on experience working as a veterinary assistant in both general practice and hospital settings. She assisted with patient care, diagnostics, surgical preparation, client communication, and medical treatments, building a strong foundation in clinical medicine that continues to support her advanced training today.

In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Foster has been involved in scientific research throughout her academic career. At Eckerd College, she participated in neuroscience-related research examining compounds that may influence neurodegeneration in a Caenorhabditis elegans model of Alzheimer's disease. She also conducted independent research investigating anticoagulant compounds in seagrass species and their potential relationship to coagulation abnormalities observed in Florida manatees. These research experiences helped cultivate her analytical approach to patient care and her interest in advancing veterinary medicine through scientific discovery.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Foster has a strong background in community service and emergency response. During her time at Eckerd College, she volunteered with the college's search and rescue team, responding to emergencies throughout the Tampa Bay area and assisting both people and animals in distress. She enjoys opportunities to continue learning, working collaboratively with colleagues, and helping improve the quality of life for pets and the families who love them.

Thanks to the amazing team at Southeast Veterinary Neurology for taking care of my Nano. I can say I will spend a worry free Christmas because I know he is in good hands. Cant wait to have him home and thank you again, Dr. Wong and his team are incredible at what they do!

I brought Toby in at 3:30 am, panicked and scared, but we were met with kindness and calmness. Dr. Little and a technician performed a few tests and gave me an honest review on what I was looking at for his diagnosis and cost of treatment. I left Toby there for about a week for in-house rehab, where my worries were eased by twice a day phone call updates and pictures of Toby’s progress. Toby came in not being able to walk on his hind legs and left the facility walking on his own. My Toby was loved on so much and treated with the utmost care. Thank you so much, Southeast Veterinary Neurology!
