Just like you, we love animals. We recognize the special bond between people and animals and consider strengthening this relationship to be one of our purposes in this life. When your pet is sick, there is nothing more that you want than to make them feel better. When it is a neurological problem such as seizures, inability to walk or paralysis, it can be even scarier. As neurologists, we have a special set of gifts and talents to help these pets and their people.
At Southeast Veterinary Neurology, our purpose is to provide hope to people and their pets through compassionate neurological care to patients, empathetic service to pet parents, and humble expertise to the veterinary community.
To do the most good for the pets and people of South Florida, we set ourselves apart in many crucial areas of veterinary neurology, including:
Many neurological conditions pets experience are emergencies or of an urgent nature. Therefore, our neurologists and staff are available to you, your pet, and your primary care veterinarian whenever you need us. We are the only team of board-certified veterinary neurologists in South Florida and by having multiple neurologists on staff, your pet will never be turned away or have to wait to be evaluated by an expert.
Our neurologists exclusively treat conditions of the brain, spinal cord, muscles, and nerves. Additionally, only about 300 board-certified veterinary neurologists are currently practicing in the U.S. Board certification in neurology is granted by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, which ensures the highest level of training, experience, and expertise in neurology and neurosurgery.
Because our neurologists exclusively perform surgery of the brain, spinal cord, muscles, and nerves, they have the advantage of performing highly complex procedures on a regular basis. Our team has completed thousands of neurosurgical procedures with an over 95% success rate.
We choose the most advanced and highly-optimized equipment for our services, including one of the most powerful MRI machines for animals. Our other equipment includes an in-house multi-slice CT scan machine, an ultrasonic aspirator for brain tumor removal, tools to evaluate hearing and check for muscle and nerve disease, and more.
Each member of our team is selected for their dedication to our patients, commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and empathy for pet parents. Most of our technicians are certified or registered veterinary technicians, and have over 10 years of veterinary experience. Some of them also have specialty certification in veterinary neurology and MRI.
Every detail of our hospital’s design was made with our patients and clients in mind. From the comfortable patient beds to our state-of-the-art operating rooms, teaching library to advanced diagnostics, our focus is on helping pets and their people in any way we can.
